Brynbella Hall

Brynbella Hall stands in the North-Wales countryside. In 2001 the practice was asked to work on the hall, including improvements to external landscaping and to a detached lodge.

Arrol Architects drew on a particular interest in and practical experience of landscape and garden design to better integrate Brynbella Hall and its garden with its surroundings. Changes of level, steps and paths and the choices of materials and planting have been used to improve a flow from the entrance of the house, to a dining area at the side and round again to the hall’s garden frontage. The resulting out-door space is as grand as the surroundings, but practical and intimate enough to be enjoyed on a domestic level by the architects’ private clients.
